Campaigns & Advocacy | making our voices heard

November 2022
We want to amplify the voices of the young people we support, campaigning on the issues that matter to them. Our beneficiaries help lead our campaigning work, and we help them feel confident and comfortable to add their voices to debates they feel strongly about.

Our team and young people we support have spoken out through radio interviews, in letters to MPs and Ministers, at local events and in Parliament itself.

At the heart of all our campaigns and advocacy work is a call for a more humane and compassionate approach to asylum- replacing the broken system with one that supports displaced people to rebuild their lives.

As part of the Together with Refugees coalition, we're working with over 300 organisations calling for a kinder, fairer and more effective approach and showcasing the widespread support for this within Surrey.
"I don't think a lot of people know who we are, how we are living or why we are here. We can work with other organisations to make this change. Campaigning is a powerful tool for our community, wherever you stand."

Refugee Week, Our Home

We celebrated Refugee Week by hosting an evening of food, music and spoken word. The 2024 theme was 'Our Home,' so we constructed a temporary home in Guildford.
