We are delighted to have worked with the Rebecca Vassie Trust and acclaimed photographer Kate Stanworth on a new project bringing both displaced and local young people together through the medium of photography.
The Rebecca Vassie Trust is a charitable organisation supporting the art of long-form narrative photography, and promoting education in photography for both emerging professionals and the broader public.
Young people were invited to take part in three days of workshops in May and June 2019. Guided by Kate, participants worked together to produce images that reflect the project title and demonstrate the skills they learned.
"I really loved this experience, and found that every minute was worth it." Photography Project participant, Wiz
Our photographic exhibition, entitled Where We Are Now, is a powerful collection of works by these young people reflecting their personal response to questions of time, place and belonging.
The exhibition featured at the Electric Theatre during Refugee Week 2019. But for anyone who missed it, we've created an online exhibition of images below.
